Note
Situation Analogies continues ideas developed from In Certain Times, using Puddle as a starting point. The work projects two fish circling one another within a resin puddle, looping endlessly in a contained system of movement. The projector is housed within a rusted steel structure, allowing the image to emerge from within a material form that appears weathered and residual. The work attempts to find reciprocity between image, object and situation.
The title refers to small correspondences that appear between moments and conditions. Through repetition and containment, the work attemps to capture how minor situations can reflect wider patterns of experience.
